We supply the following solid carbide uncoated or coated TiN, TiCN, CrN, TiAIN, AlTiN drills. Straight flute, four facet point, right hand helix, slow helix, micro hole, four margin, combined drill & counter sinks, CNC style precision countersinks, 4 & 6 flute chatterless countersinks, jobber length, extended length, die, screw machine, stub, circuit board, micro hole, spade, coolant fed in fractional & metric Drills.
Carbide Tipped drills include core, masonry, glass & tile, standard "A" taper shank, sds plus masonry hammer, sds max masonry, spline, impact, silver & deming (Bowling Ball type), taper length, die, straight flute, cnc screw machine - stub, metric, jobber, 118 degree, 135 degree split point, 6" inch overall, 12" inch overall, negative point, positive point, 120 degree spade, 140 degree spade, regular helix, high helix, coolant fed, four facet self centering point types.
Recommendations: Always use the shortest drill available for the application. A maximum of three times the diameter for depth of the hole is the general rule of thumb when using non-coolant fed drills. Coolant fed drills allow a greater depth of hole to diameter. If using a spot drill, use a point angle GREATER than the hole drill point angle.
118 degree standard point for drilling cast-iron on non-ferrous materials.
135 degree point for drilling tough & abrasive materials.
Masonry drills for drilling in brick, stone, concrete, slate, plaster and other masonry materials.
Die drills for drilling hardened steel from 35 to 65 rockwell C. Positive point tools for use on machines with less spindle horsepower - the thinned web permits higher feed rates than otherwise possible. Negative point tools are for higher hardness materials. Use copious amounts of coolant when working with these drills. Always make sure to keep the workpice clear of chips.
We have made many specailzed drills for various applications by taking an existing drill & modfying its geometry. The lead time varies from a couple of days to a week normally. Fax us a print of the drill your looking for along with any specifcations.
When drilling with carbide drills the feeds are governed by the size of the tool and the material being drilled. The harder the material, the lighter the feed. Hard materials (stainless, etc.) will be at the low end of the SFM speed, while softer materials (aluminum, magnesium, etc.) will be at the high end of SFM speed. Always check with the manufacture for the safetest maximum speed & feed rates.
From the Premium Domestic Carbide Drill, to the economy import carbide drill, we have what your looking for.
